The Grand on Front | Massive Downtown Wilmington Loft

This space has potential but lacked attention to detail in the way of cleaning and maintenance to justify price or a return visit. Transparency is needed about proximity to locations driving excess noise late at night.Pros: 1) conveniently located to everything downtown 2) covered parking reasonably close by 3) large space 4) beautiful hardwoods and lovely high ceilings. Cons: 1) no house # on the door in the alley 2) digital lock required a few more buttons than what was shared in the email but we eventually got into the building 3) tons of dead bees in the stairwell leading to the house and in the lights 4) floor had not been cleaned recently and had dead bugs, hair, debris and spills visible 5) baseboards were coated in dust as was the air filter 6) bathrooms had visible mold/mildew 7)there were no room darkening curtains in the bedrooms. Between the noise from the bars in the alley and the natural light streaming in, sleep was limited. 8)master closet was filled with broken things and no hangers were available. 9) towels looked old and worn 10) crusty uncovered sugar bowl in the cabinet for coffee - yuck! 11) hair inside the bathroom cabinets 12)filter above stove coated in grease and the back wall was dingy. 13) sticker for furniture assembly still on the furniture and master bedroom headboard

Location was great. Very close to shops and restaurants.

The loft was nice for our trip as we had decided location was important and wanted to be near the action. This is exactly what you can expect here....a mere hop to the Riverwalk and nightlife all around. It was a great location. The pictures should be updated as the furniture is not exactly as shown...but currently there is more seating. The unit is on the top floor of the building and does have two large staircases to navigate. So, keep in mind with luggage and if you are traveling with children or older guests.
